Formulate PR policy: BPRA

A delegation of the newly-elected members of the Bangladesh Public Relations Association (BPRA) called on Information Minister Tariqul Islam at his Secretariat office here yesterday.

BPRA president Mostafa-e-Jamil led the delegation.

The delegation members urged the minister to recognise the public relations as an expert profession.

They also appealed to him to formulate a public relations (PR) policy and to allocate a piece of land for establishing a permanent office of the association in Dhaka.

Information minister expressed his support to the demands of the association and assured them of providing all possible help and cooperation to this end.

Underlining the importance of PR profession, he said training would be provided for increasing professional efficiency of the PR officers.

He also urged them to strengthen their activities.

Information Secretary Nazmul Alam Siddiqui and Principal Information Officer (PIO) Khondaker Monirul Alam were present.
