DC awaits nod to confiscate property
The DC sent the letter on May 11. "I am yet to receive any reply," he said.
The district administration will prepare a list of Shikder's illegal property after getting green signal from the ministry.
"Shikder's wives and sons will be asked to name the sources of obtaining so much property. If they fail to satisfy me with their reply, all property will be deemed as illegal and stand confiscated as per law of the land," the deputy commissioner said.
Meanwhile, members of the families of 24 people, who were killed by Ershad Shikder, have also demanded confiscation of his property.
