British envoy begins Sylhet visit today

He is expected to reach Sylhet at 8.45am and offer Juma prayers in a mosque adjacent to the shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA).

During his stay, the newly appointed envoy will visit the offices of Immigration Advisory Service, Newham Bengali Community Trust (NBCT) and FIVDB, an NGO.

The mayor of Sylhet will accord a reception to the high commissioner.

Anwar Chowdhury will also have a meeting with the divisional commissioner and exchange views with the journalists at the Sylhet Press Club.
