Mahbubor made chairman of SBAC Bank Investment

Mohammad Mahbubor Rahman has been elected chairman of SBAC Bank Investment Limited (SBIL), a DSE-registered brokerage and investment banking subsidiary of SBAC Bank PLC.

The election was held at the company’s 30th board meeting in Dhaka on Wednesday, according to a press release. He currently serves as chief executive officer and director of Finance at Intec Solution.

Mahbubor is the representative director of SBAC Bank PLC, nominated by Intec Solution, and a distinguished professional accountant and corporate executive with more than 27 years of leadership experience across six countries — Bangladesh, Malaysia, Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand and Cambodia.

He has held senior positions at organisations including Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Marriott International.

Mahbubor is a fellow and council member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh.

He obtained his master’s degree in accounting from the University of Dhaka.
