Southeast Bank holds 797th board meeting

Southeast Bank PLC yesterday held the 797th meeting of its board of directors at its head office in Dhaka, marking another milestone in the bank’s ongoing transformation journey.

MA Kashem, founder and current chairman of the bank, presided over the meeting, according to a press release.

With integrated leadership and a shared vision, Southeast Bank PLC is moving steadily towards becoming one of the country’s most reliable and sustainable financial institutions.

Rehana Rahman, vice-chairperson of the bank, and Jusna Ara Kashem, Duluma Ahmed, Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Khandker Badrul Hassan, Nur Nahar Tarin and Md Rafiqul Islam, directors, attended the meeting.

MA Kashem, who was re-elected chairman of the bank, was congratulated by the directors.

With a strong commitment to sound governance, strategic growth and sustainable development, the bank continues to strengthen its position in Bangladesh’s banking sector.

The 797th board meeting reflects the bank’s collective leadership and continued focus on delivering greater value to its customers, shareholders and stakeholders while building a stronger and more resilient financial institution for the future, the release added.

M Moyeen Alam Firozee and Nurjahan Begum, independent directors; Md Khalid Mahmood Khan, managing director and CEO; and Md Touhidul Huq, deputy company secretary, among others, were also present.
