India finalises border fencing plan

Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh yesterday said a plan had been finalised to complete the fencing of India's border with Bangladesh soon to control infiltration from across the border.

He commended Bangladesh for helping India in controlling fake Indian currency rackets and for extraditing criminals who escaped to Bangladesh.

He also said the Bangladeshi minorities fleeing to India fearing persecution would be given Indian citizenship in future.
