SZMC reopens today

Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SZMC) of Bogra opens today after 4 days of closure from October 7. Dr Rezaul Alam Jewel said the academic council decided to open the dormitories, both male and female, on Saturday afternoon and the College on Sunday morning as the situation has returned to normal.Contacted, Arifur Rahman Mondal, additional superintendent of police (East) of Bogra, said adequate security measures have been taken to prevent any unwanted occurrence. Earlier, the medical college was declared closed for an indefinite period on Wednesday following a clash between two rival groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League.
