‘Ek Patiler Songshar’ premieres on Maasranga TV today

A new television serial, “Ek Patiler Songshar”, will premiere on Maasranga Television today. Directed by Shamim Zaman, the family drama centres on the joys, struggles and emotional ties of a traditional joint family.

The story follows a family patriarch who is determined to keep his household united. Living under one roof are his brothers, their wives and children. Tensions arise when the family’s second son decides to leave and start a separate life. His decision is strongly opposed by the patriarch, setting off the central conflict of the series.

The ensemble cast features Mosharraf Karim, Salahuddin Lavlu, Ahsanul Haque Minu, Shamim Zaman, Akhomo Hasan, Robena Reza Jui, Farzana Ahsan Mihi, Alif Chowdhury, Shelly Ahsan, among others.

Speaking about the serial, Shamim Zaman said it portrays both the warmth and the challenges of living in a joint family. While the family head wants everyone to remain together, one member’s desire to leave leads to a series of emotional and dramatic events. Alongside family relationships, the serial also explores social tensions and romance.
