Actor Anil Kapoor has reportedly acquired the rights to his 2001 political drama “Nayak”, fuelling speculation about a possible sequel nearly 25 years after the film’s release.

Hridoy has directed and acted in the short film “Trapped”, marking his debut as a filmmaker. The 28-minute-35-second mystery drama also stars Mozeza Ashraf Monalisa, once a prominent face on television and in commercials, who makes her acting comeback through this project.
