Actress and Rabindra Sangeet singer Daisy Ahmed hospitalised

Renowned actress and Rabindra Sangeet artiste Daisy Ahmed has been admitted to the capital's United Hospital due to difficulties breathing and low oxygen levels. She is the wife of late eminent actor, Bulbul Ahmed.

The news was confirmed by her daughter, Tahsin Farzana Tilottoma.

"My father's 80th birthday was on September 4, and mother suddenly lost consciousness that day", said Farzana. "She had previously tested positive for Covid-19 as well, adding to various old-age ailments that she suffers from". She told The Daily Star that the family was supposed to award some senior artistes on the occasion that day, before Daisy Ahmed fell ill.

Farzana further clarified that the doctors are recommending a pacemaker for the senior artiste. "Because of her age, we are hesitant to take such a step. Please pray for my mother," she said. . 

Daisy Ahmed is now under the observation of Dr Nasirullah Kaisar at the hospital, 

Her daughter, Oindrila Ahmed, is a popular actress, while her sister Laila Hasan is a renowned dancer.
