Bob Odenkirk speaks out for the first time since heart attack
Popular television and film actor Bob Odenkirk was taken to a Los Angeles-area hospital on Tuesday after collapsing on the set of his AMC cable network show "Better Call Saul," according to sources close to the performer.
Bob Odenkirk publicly comments for the first time since his heart attack, thanking family, friends, and fans for their support. Earlier this week, the actor was filming Better Call Saul season 6 when he collapsed on-set and was rushed to the hospital. After an extended period of time without any updates, Odenkirk's son Nate tweeted his father was going to be OK and thanked everyone for the outpouring of well-wishes.
Bob Odenkirk tweeted an update about his condition, writing:
"Hi. It's Bob. Thank you. To my family and friends who have surrounded me this week. And for the outpouring of love from everyone who expressed concern and care for me. It's overwhelming. But I feel the love and it means so much.
I had a small heart attack. But I'm going to be ok thanks to Rosa Estrada and the doctors who knew how to fix the blockage without surgery. Also, AMC and SONYs support and help throughout this has been next-level. I'm going to take a beat to recover but I'll be back soon."
Odenkirk is currently filming the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul, the critically acclaimed Breaking Bad spin-off, focused on his titular character.
