Gujarat High Court dismisses criminal proceeding against Shah Rukh Khan

Gujarat High Court has dismissed criminal proceedings against Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan for the stampede incident during the promotion of "Raees" in 2017.

A criminal case was filed against the actor for the death of an individual who was killed during a stampede at Vadodara Railway Station. Relatives of the deceased filed a complaint against the actor for endangering the lives or personal safety of others.

A petition was filed against the complaint which stated that Shah Rukh Khan was not responsible for the death. He was a heart patient who passed away due to other health reasons.

On January 23, 2017, Shah Rukh Khan rode on a train at Vadodara Railway Station during the promotion of "Raees". A huge crowd gathered around him, which lead to a massive stampede. Police had to be brought down to control the situation.
