Tisha will next be seen in Shyam Benegal's "Bangabandhu". She is also looking forward to her upcoming releases "Pritilata" and "Roktojoba".

In a candid chat with The Daily Star, Tisha talks about her first production, the Mostofa Sarwar Farooki directorial film "No Land's Man", her upcoming releases, and more.

Your first film as a producer, "No Land's Man" has nominated for Kim Jiseok Award at 26th Busan Int'l Film Festival. How do you feel about this achievement?

I feel overjoyed! Being appreciated on such a grand international platform is a matter of great pride for me as a producer. My hopes from "No Land's Man" is only increasing with such achievements.

You have received the National Film Award a couple of times, and also managed to become a household name on television. What inspired you to become a producer?

I had always wished to become a producer at some point. However, I was never sure if my first production would be a film, fiction, or tele-fiction. I loved the script of "No Land's Man" and thus, went on to invest in it.

When are you planning to release "No Land's Man"?

The film is in post-production now and we hope to bring it to the theatres soon.

You have been keeping away from sets due to your leg injury. Do you feel better now?

I am currently at rest. I want to fully recover before I start working again. I prefer to work more during special occasions but I only take up projects that appeal to me.

However, health comes first and I believe, this break will also help lessen the covid-10 cases and make our sets safer by the time I return.

How are spending your time these days?

The coronavirus pandemic has made me a film buff! I love watching both local and international projects as I feel they offer a lot to learn from. Alongside watching films, I enjoy reading books by acclaimed Bangladeshi and International authors.

Covid-19 halted most operations across the country for a while. What do you miss the most about working and shooting?

I miss my fans just the way they miss me. However, I believe, this gap has only strengthened our bond and respect for each other. I hope to come back soon and promise that the audience won't be disappointed.
