I had to pull rickshaws to earn a living: FDC’s canteen manager
Due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, the usually busy premises of BFDC (Bangladesh Film Development Corporation) was barren for the past two years. It affected actors, directors, film crews and even the canteen personnel.
However, after arriving at the BFDC canteen, we found the previous spark of life coming back, even though shooting's have not formally started.
The canteen's manager, Mohammad Milon, talked to The Daily Star. "We went through unimaginable crises, I even had to pull rickshaws to earn a living at one point", says Milon, while pointing to his strained palms.
Milon further said that dance choreographer Azad took the canteen on lease for two years for BDT 4 lakhs. "We could not earn anything for the better part of two years, I don't know what will happen down the line."
