‘Kanchan Bazar’ in Pabna named after Ilias Kanchan

Many years ago,  popular film actor Ilias Kanchan had established a high school at Pabna's Par Ghoradoho, named after his late wife Jahanara.

Near that school,  a market, opened by locals, has been named 'Kanchan Bazar', after the actor.

Learning about the fact, Illias Kanchan expressed his gratitude. "I am overwhelmed and surprised to know that a market has been named after me," he said. 

"I had established a school with the perspective of being a responsible citizen, however, I am really grateful for such respect."

Recently, the actor has worked in a tele-fiction. "I have become selective about acting, whenever I like the script, I take up the project," he shared. 

He has also worked in renowned film actress Rozina's directorial film "Phire Dekha", which is awaiting release.
