Mumbai court orders temporary ban on mobile game 'Selmon Bhoi'
A Mumbai civil court has reportedly ordered for temporary restraint on access to an online mobile game titled 'Selmon Bhoi', allegedly based on a previous hit-and-run incident involving renowned Indian actor Salman Khan.
Civil court judge K M Jaiswal passed the order on Monday, and a copy of it was made available to the media the next day.
Parody Studios Pvt Ltd and its directors, the makers of the game, were restrained from disseminating, launching, re-launching and recreating the game or any other content relating to the actor.
The game is to be removed from all platforms including the Google Play Store.
The court reportedly stated that the game developers used Salman Khan's identity and popularity for commercial gain.
The actor had filed an application in the court last month against the developers of the game, claiming that the name and images displayed in the game were caricatures of him.
