‘No Land’s Man’ selected for Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival

Internationally acclaimed director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's film, "No Land's Man", has been selected for the Current Waves section of the 25th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. Farooki is set to present the film, and join a Q/A session. He is also on the jury of the festival's First Feature competition. 

The director shared the news himself from his verified Facebook profile. 
The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, which began on November 12, will conclude on November 28, 2021. 

"No Land's Man" also premiered at the Busan International Film Festival earlier this year, and was nominated for the Kim Jiseok Award. 

The film is a production by the US company Dialectic and Bangladesh's Chabial, in association with India's Magic If Films, Bangladesh's Sun Music & Motion Pictures, and Bongo BD. Shrihari Sathe, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Anjan Chowdhury, Nusrat Imrose Tisha, A R Rahman, and Faridur Reza Sagar are the co-producers.

"No Land's Man" is predominantly English, with some dialogue in Hindi and Urdu. It stars prolific Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, along with celebrated Bangladeshi musician and actor Tahsan Khan, and promising Australian actor Megan Mitchell, among others.

"No Land's Man" was the recipient of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and Asia Pacific Screen Awards' Script Development fund in 2014. It was part of the Asian Project Market at Busan, and was the Best Project at India's Film Bazaar that year.

It has been shot across New York, India, and Australia.
