Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s vibrant wedding in pictures

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot on April 14, surrounded by their family and close friends. The couple, clad in matching ivory and gold ensembles, looked ecstatic as the bride shared glimpses from their wedding.

Taking to Instagram, Alia penned, "Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home in our favourite spot - the balcony we've spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married."

The couple wore fuchsia pink ensembles for their mehendi ceremony. Alia opted for a lehenga choli - without dupatta, while Ranbir looked handsome in a matching shalwar kameez with the same coloured waistcoat.

For her makeup, Alia followed her quintessential no-makeup look. She completed her look with an elaborate teeka, some floral jewellery and her hair in a soft tie.

"The Mehendi was like something out of a dream," the actress shared on Instagram. "It was a day full of love, family, our beautiful best friends, a lot of French fries." She also revealed there was a surprise performance by the ladkewalas, as we see in one of the pictures, Ranbir, with his mother Neetu Kapoor, sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Kareena and Karisma Kapoor breaking into a dance.

Ranbir kept his late father, Rishi Kapoor, close as well. The actor carried Rishi's picture during the ceremony.
