Riverdale’s 100th episode to pay tribute to Archie comics

The sixth season of "Riverdale" started in November, embarking on a five-episode event called 'Rivervale.' 

The last episode of the event is set to pay a tribute to Archie Comics. Titled "Chapter One Hundred: The Jughead Paradox", it is also the 100th episode of the series.

"Riverdale" is an American teen drama television series based on the characters of Archie Comics.

For the milestone episode, the show is set to bring back Ethel Muggs, played by Shannon Purser. Moreover, Major Curda and Lochlyn Munro will be back to play Hal Cooper and Dilton Doiley.

The characters of the show will be dressed according to their characters in the comics. One of the many images show Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes and KJ Apa dressed in the iconic Betty, Archie, and Veronica attires.

The teen-drama, which took off in January 2017, has a dark flavour to it, with the lead characters of the Archie Comics placed in contemporary times.

As revealed by Reinhart, who plays Betty Cooper, "Riverdale" will have seven seasons and will not go beyond, which means fans have some time left to expect more mysteries and thrills from the show.

The 100th episode of "Riverdale" will be released on December 14, 2021.
