Talented director Sazzad Sony no more
Television director Sazzad Sony passed away today at 2:30 am at the National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital, after suffering from a brain hemmorage. He was 37 years old at the time of passing.
The news was confirmed to The Daily Star by his fellow director, Shetu Arif.
He was immediately rushed to Uttara's Crescent Hospital, eventually being shifted to Heart Foundation and then National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital, where he passed away at 2:30 am while being operated on.
He served as the finance secretary of Directors' Guild for two times.
The director's body was kept today at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at 11 am, where colleagues and well-wishers paid homage. An hour later, his first namaz-e-janazah took place there. A second janazah will be performed after Zuhr prayers at the Central Mosque in Nikunja 2.
Sazzad Sony will be laid to rest at the Banani graveyard.
Sazzad Sony had directed more than 20 telefilms, among which 'Nagor', 'Ajou Kaday' and 'Keu Kotha Rakheni' are notable.
