The reason Riaz burst into tears at BFDC yesterday

Noted actor Riaz burst into tears, as he embraced an elderly artiste at the BFDC yesterday. He is the Vice Presidential candidate from the Ilias-Nipun panel in the upcoming Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association elections. 

In association with the Ilias-Nipun panel, a song titled, "Note Diye Vote Kenar Din Shesh" (The days of buying votes with cash are over), was played recently at the BFDC. The elderly artiste got teary eyed after listening to it.

Seeing his tears, Riaz, too, became emotional. 

There have been reports regarding the exclusion of 184 artistes from the BFDC. Riaz expressed that he will stand up for such artistes, who have lost their voting rights. The elderly man was one of those artistes. 

"I will wipe away the tears of those who have lost their right to vote, and bring back smiles to their faces. These people have faced great injustice," said an emotional Riaz.
