Minimum Fitra set at Tk 65

This year's minimum Fitra has been fixed at Tk 65 per head.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Fitra Fixing Committee of the Islamic Foundation at the national mosque Baitul Mukarram yesterday.

The maximum Fitra has been fixed at Tk 1,980 per person, taking into account the market prices of flour, dates and some other essential items, said a press release of Islamic Foundation.

Fitra can be given either in cash or kind.

Maulana Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram, presided over the meeting yesterday.

Members of the National Fitra Fixing Committee Mozaharul Mannan, Muhammad Abdus Salam, Mufti Mohammad Abdullah, Sirajuddin Ahmed, Mufassir Mohammad Abu Saleh Patwari and Mufti Mohammad Mahmudul Hasan were present.
