Around half of the patients receiving treatment at Ad-din Medical College Hospital in Dhaka’s Moghbazar left the facility by yesterday evening, a day after the government cancelled the licence of the 700-bed private hospital following the deaths of six newborns there last month.

Even after four years since its inauguration, the 50-bed Islamic Mission Hospital, Sirta in Mymensingh Sadar upazila has yet to become fully operational due to acute staff shortage.
