4 cocktail-like objects found in bag on Dhaka's Elephant Road

Four cocktail-like objects were found in a shopping bag on Dhaka's Elephant Road Monday night.

Locals spotted the bag around 10:00pm on the road towards New Market near Bata Signal and informed police.

Mohammad Ayub, officer-in-charge of New Market Police Station, said they received the information at 10:05pm. “Our team rushed to the spot and found four round objects wrapped in tape. We then informed the CTTC bomb disposal unit,” he told The Daily Star.

The CTTC unit later took the objects away for examination to determine whether they were cocktails or something else, he added
