Mymensingh madrasa teacher detained over alleged sexual abuse of 15-year-old girl

Police detained a teacher this morning for allegedly sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl at a madrasa in Mymensingh’s Nandail upazila.

Following the incident, the victim's father filed a written complaint against the madrasa teacher at Nandail Model Police Station in the afternoon.

The accused, Ramzan Ali, 24, is from Bhati Pachani village in Nandail.

Quoting the complaint, Md Azharul Islam, officer-in-charge of Nandail Model Police Station, said the girl had gone to the madrasa this morning as usual. She was alone in the classroom at the time of the incident.

The teacher, Ramzan Ali, who was standing near the door of the classroom suddenly closed the door and sexually abused her, according to the complaint. At one point, the girl managed to open the door, run outside, and inform her family members about the incident.

Hearing the incident, local people rushed to the site, caught the teacher and informed police.

On information, police reached there and detained him.

The OC said the accused is currently being interrogated at the police station, and the process of filing a case is underway.
