Tigers return home after historic Australia tour
The Bangladesh Test side touched down in Dhaka on Friday, welcomed with flowers by members of the Bangladesh Cricket Board after a memorable tour of Australia.
The Tigers made history in Darwin, stunning the No. 1 side in the World Test Championship in the first Test -- their first-ever Test victory in Australia and their the Tigers’ finest hour in red-ball cricket.
The second Test in Mackay was a different story, with Najmul Hossain Shanto’s side suffering a two-day defeat.
Despite the abrupt and anti-climactic end to the series, the tour as a whole offered undeniable moments of brilliance. The historic triumph in Darwin alone ensured that this campaign will remain etched in Bangladesh cricket history for years to come.
