Sana gets rewarded with promotion
South Asian Games’ triple gold medallist archer Ruman Sana has been promoted to the lance naik post from soldier’s post during a reception today hosted by the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP to its athletes who won medals at the regional multi-sports extravaganza in Nepal in December last year.

Sana in shortlist for World Archery’s Athlete of the Year award
Roman Sana, who led the gold rush as the Red and Greens clinched all 10 team and individual archery events in the 13th South Asian Games, has been nominated for the 2019 Athlete of the Year award by the sport’s governing body, the World Archery Federation. Bangladesh coach Martin Frederick also made the shortlist for the coach of the year award.

Bangladesh claim six out six golds in archery team events
Bangladesh began their archery gold-hunt in style at Pokhara, winning gold in the Recurve Men’s team and Recurve Women's team event -- both against Sri Lanka -- at the 13th South Asian Games this morning. They went to on to win gold in all the six archery team events today. The third gold medal of the day came from the recurve mixed team, who beat Bhutan. The compound men’s and women’s team also bagged gold to make it five before the compound mixed team beat Nepal to make it six out six.
