Palestinian stabs Israeli officer, is shot: police

A Palestinian stabbed and lightly wounded a border policeman in the Israeli coastal city of Netanya yesterday before being shot and wounded, police said. The attack came as US President Donald Trump was on a visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories as part of his maiden foreign tour. Police identified the assailant as a man in his mid-forties from the nearby city of Tulkarem in the occupied West Bank.
