Two placed on 3-day remand
Metropolitan Magistrate Abdur Rauf Khan passed the remand order upon a police prayer for a seven-day remand in an attempted murder case and a five-day prayer in a theft case.
The accused Akkas, 25, and Nantu, 23, were arrested on Wednesday from Jigatola and Mirpur on suspicion of their involvement in the incident.
"They are professional thieves and are involved in theft, robbery and murder in the capital," said the police in their forwarding report, adding, "The two need to be remanded for information and clues to the attack on Tarana."
"The investigation, done so far, has indicated their involvement," the report added.
