Storm lashes Nilphamari: 300 injured

Official sources said property worth about Tk 5 crore were also damaged during the storm that hit the upazila at about 10:00am.

The worst affected union is Khoksabari where some 200 people were injured, about 60 percent tin-roofed houses damaged and 30 per cent trees uprooted.

The other affected unions are Tupamari, Polashbari and Etakhola.

A good number of electric poles were also uprooted in the storm, disrupting electricity supply in the upazila.

The injured were admitted to local Modern Hospital and clinics.
