BCL-Shibir clash at Pabna college
A gunfight between Islamic Chhatra Shibir and Bangladesh Chhatra League left five students injured on the Shaheed Bulbul College campus in Pabna yesterday.
Three bullet-hit BCL activists -- Kamrul Hasan, Abu Naser and Sanjay Kumar Saha -- are now undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
The gunfight erupted after the Shibir workers hurled brickbats at a BCL procession protesting the distortion of Liberation War history. The BCL also demanded withdrawal of a graft case against Awami League President Sheikh Hasina.
Shibir workers also prevented the procession from entering the college premises, sources said.
Two female BCL activists were injured during the melee.
