Relief work continues in flood-hit areas

Workers Party of Bangladesh distributed relief materials among the flood victims at Gaibandha and Sirajganj districts.
A medical team of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh led by its President Prof AQM Badrudozza Chowdhury provided treatment to sick people at North Badda in the city.
Dhaka City Corporation Mayor Sadeque Hossain Khoka distributed relief materials at Arambagh shelter.
Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal Convenor Comrade Khalequzzaman distributed relief materials among the flood victims at Badda.
USC Canada-Bangladesh, an international development organisation based in Canada, distributed relief materials at Narsingdi, Rupganj and Sonargaon in Narayanganj district.
Secretary General of Doctors' Association of Bangladesh Prof AZM Zahid Hossain handed over a cheque for Tk 63,100 to DU Central Relief Operation Conducting Committee.
DU Vice Chancellor Prof SMA Faiz received the cheque.
University Fourth Classes Employees' Parishad also handed over Tk 60,000 to the DU committee.
Nari Unnayan Shakti and Dustha Swasthya Kendra distributed relief materials separately among the flood victims at Khilgaon area in the city.
Other organisations, which distributed relief, included Karmajibi Nari, Jatiya Party Khilgaon Thana Ward No. 23, National Federation of Youth Organisations in Bangladesh, Bangladesh Chhatra League, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Bangladesh Chhatra Union, Samajtantrik Chhatra Front, Chhatra Moitree, Sammilito Sangskritik Jote, Directorate of Health, Bureau of Human Rights Bangladesh and Bangladesh Leather and Leather Good's Manufacturers Co-operative Society.
