ERRATUM
In the post-ed article "Is there any possibility of early election?" published yesterday, in the second paragraph the sentences "But it will be difficult for the BNP to accede to the opposition demand requiring the President to consult with the major political parties to appoint a non-partisan and neutral person from any profession as the Chief Adviser to the CTG in place of the Chief Justice who retired last. According to the existing provision of the Constitution, the Chief Justice who retired last, is the first choice for appointment as the Chief Adviser to the CTG." were inadvertently printed as "But it will be difficult for the BNP to accede to the oppotice who retired last, is the first choice for appointment as the Chief Adviser to the CTG." The error is regretted.
