One of the most prolific bands in Bangladesh, Artcell is soon to celebrate their 20th birthday.

On the fourth day of the IDLC Theatre Festival 2019, Shomoy Natyadal will stage ‘Bagher Manush’ inset at the Experimental Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) from 5 pm onwards.

The silver jubilee celebration of Jahanara Latif Mohila College in Melandah, Jamalpur, organised by the college authority, concluded recently. Mirza Azam, MP, inaugurated the event as the chief guest, and College Principal (acting) Md Khairul Islam delivered the welcome speech.

A week-long solo painting exhibition, From the Fields, by eminent Japanese artist Hiroshi Uotani, is underway at Dhaka Gallery in Banani. It was inaugurated on November 15.

Noted artiste Mir Sabbir, who has been working in television for two decades, is set to make his debut as a film director with Raat Jaaga Phul, a project funded by the government. Sabbir has also written the script of the film.

Star Melodies, an initiative of The Daily Star to promote Bangla music, will host a special musical evening, titled Shornojuger Paanch Sabyasachi Sangeet Shroshtha’r Gaan.

As visitors stepped into Bangladesh National Museum (BNM) from November 15 to 17, they were greeted with pictures that showcased the beauty of the country, at the photography exhibition and competition, Colors of Bangladesh. The event, organised by UNESCO Dhaka, in partnership with Prito Reza Productions, was supported by the Government of the Republic of Korea.
