Actor Kohinoor Akhter Suchanda and journalist Rafi Hossain will be honoured with the 16th Fazlul Haque Memorial Award 2019 for direction and cine journalism respectively. Both winners will receive prize money of BDT 25000, crests and certificates of honour.

Star Melodies, an initiative of The Daily Star to promote Bangla music, will hold a special musical programme, titled, Kothay O Gaaney Sangeeter Dui Kingbadantir Shathe.
