The Film Producers Association election was held in a festive environment on July 27, at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (FDC). The election, which took place after seven long years, saw a total of 130 producers vote for the working years of 2019-2021.

The two-day (July 26-27) Malhar Festival hailing the rainy season concluded at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) on Saturday. The High Commission of India, Dhaka, in association with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, organised the programme at the National Theatre Hall of BSA.

Prominent artist Rafique Siddiqui passed away at Uttara, Dhaka on Thursday night. He was an Associate Professor and Director, Planning and Development at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, Uttara, Dhaka since 2006.
