Ahsanur Rahman made MD of Dhaka Bank Securities

Ahsanur Rahman has been appointed as the managing director of Dhaka Bank Securities Limited, a stock brokerage house and a subsidiary of Dhaka Bank PLC.

Prior to joining the brokerage house, he served as the chief operating officer of UCB Stock Brokerage Limited, according to a press release.

He previously served as the CEO of BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Limited for nearly six years, where he led business growth, operational transformation, risk management and digital initiatives.

He also led the expansion of its branch network and introduced technology-driven initiatives, including an order management system (OMS) and integration with BRAC Bank’s Astha platform and bKash.

Ahsanur brings more than 18 years of extensive experience in Bangladesh’s capital market, with a strong track record in strategic leadership, institutional business, investment services and digital transformation.

He led foreign and local institutional sales and trading operations, managing relationships with global funds, international brokers and domestic asset managers.

He also played a role in major investor engagement initiatives and global roadshows in London, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Ahsanur obtained his bachelor’s degree in finance from East West University.
