Alamgir made country manager of Habib Bank

Alamgir Morshed has been appointed as the country manager of Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Bangladesh, effective July 16, 2026.

Prior to joining HBL Bangladesh, he was serving at the Infrastructure Development Company Limited (Idcol) as the chief executive officer, according to a press release.

He brings more than three decades of distinguished experience in banking and financial services, with extensive expertise in commercial banking, treasury, financial markets, and development finance.

Before that, he spent more than 26 years with Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh, where he worked in different capacities. Morshed obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Institute of Business Administration at the University of Dhaka.
