Bank Asia holds cybersecurity awareness training for employees

Bank Asia PLC has organised a daylong training programme to raise cybersecurity awareness among its employees and enhance their skills in protecting the bank’s digital assets in observance of “National Cybersecurity Awareness Month”.

Md Sabbir Hossain, additional managing director of Bank Asia PLC, inaugurated the programme at the Bank Asia Institute for Training and Development (BAITD) in Lalmatia, Dhaka on Saturday, according to a press release.

SM Tofayel Ahmad, additional director (ICT) of Bangladesh Bank, conducted the training session.

The session covered key aspects of cybersecurity governance, regulatory expectations, management responsibilities, cybersecurity risks and threats, employee responsibilities, and good security practices.

Team leaders at different levels, including the heads of various departments and branches of the bank, attended the programme in person, while other employees participated online.
