Delta Life holds conference to drive bancassurance growth

Delta Life Insurance Company Limited recently organised a three-day “Bancassurance Conference-2025” at Grand Sultan Tea Resort & Golf in Sreemangal to strengthen and expand bancassurance activities, exchange professional experiences and ensure more effective access to integrated banking and insurance services for customers.

Mohammad Ali, managing director of Pubali Bank PLC, inaugurated the conference as the chief guest, according to a press release.

In his address, Ali said that the expansion of bancassurance alongside conventional banking services has created an opportunity to provide customers with a broader range of financial solutions.

He called upon bankers to work sincerely towards further expanding bancassurance activities.

He emphasised that stronger collaboration between the banking and insurance sectors can facilitate easier access to need-based financial services for customers.

Uttam Kumar Sadhu, chief executive officer of the life insurance company, presided over the conference.

At the conference, nine officials of Pubali Bank PLC were awarded the “Best Performer of the Year” title, while 33 officials received certificates of appreciation in recognition of their outstanding performance in bancassurance in 2025.

The conference also featured discussions on the performance and achievements of the bancassurance business, recognition of successful officials, and future strategies and action plans.

Safiul Alam Khan Chowdhury, consultant of the life insurer; Md Shahnewaz Khan, deputy managing director of the bank; Milton Bepari, deputy managing director and chief financial officer of the insurer; and Md Faizul Hoque Sharif, general manager and chief bancassurance officer of the bank, along with senior officials of both organisations, were also present.
