Meghna Bank launches ‘Bangla QR’ payment service

Meghna Bank PLC has launched its “Bangla QR” payment service through MeghnaPay, marking another step towards expanding integrated digital payment facilities and contributing to the vision of a cashless Bangladesh.

Syed Mizanur Rahman, managing director of the bank, inaugurated the service at the bank’s head office in Dhaka recently, according to a press release.

With this service, Meghna Bank customers can make payments through the MeghnaPay app by scanning any merchant’s “Bangla QR” code, allowing them to pay for goods and services directly from their smartphones.

Md Sadiqur Rahman, additional managing director of the bank, and Momtazul Karim N Ahmed, deputy managing director, along with other senior officials, were also present at the launching ceremony.
