National Bank organises 43rd AGM

National Bank PLC held its 43rd annual general meeting (AGM) at a convention centre in Dhaka yesterday.

Prof Melita Mehjabeen, chairman of the bank, presided over the meeting, according to a press release.

Tabith Awal, director and chairman of the executive committee of the bank; Muklesur Rahman, independent director and chairman of the risk management committee; and Md Abdus Satter Sarkar, independent director and chairman of the audit committee, attended the AGM.

A large number of shareholders attended the meeting from across the country. They approved the financial statements for 2025, the appointment of auditors and other agenda items placed before the meeting.

Nazneen Ahmad, director; Md Zulkar Nayn and Md Akhter Hossain, independent directors; and Imran Ahmed, acting managing director, along with deputy managing directors, were also present.
