NRB Bank partners with Thailand’s Phyathai 2 Hospital for healthcare benefits

NRB Bank PLC has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Phyathai 2 Hospital Co Ltd of Thailand, one of Bangkok’s leading internationally accredited healthcare institutions, to provide healthcare privileges and seamless access to world-class medical services for its credit cardholders, employees, and their eligible family members.

Tarek Reaz Khan, managing director and CEO of the bank, and Sorawong Siribunpan, international marketing director of Phyathai 2 Hospital and Phyathai Phaholyothin Hospital, signed the agreement at the bank’s corporate head office in Gulshan-1, Dhaka recently, according to a press release. Ferdous Ara Begum, an independent director of the bank, attended the programme.

Under the collaboration, NRB Bank credit cardholders and employees, along with their eligible family members, will enjoy a comprehensive range of preferential healthcare benefits at Phyathai 2 Hospital.

Key benefits include a 10 percent discount on medication and a 10 percent discount on hospital room charges, excluding doctors’ fees and other non-applicable items.

Patients will also receive complimentary transportation between their residence, the airport, the hotel, and the hospital, along with free preliminary medical consultations, treatment planning, cost estimates, personal escort services, and access to the International Lounge through the hospital’s International Patient Centre.

In addition, the partnership is designed to facilitate access to high-quality international healthcare while providing personalised medical coordination and patient support services from the initial consultation through treatment and follow-up care.

Anwar Uddin and M Rashidul Huda, deputy managing directors of the bank; Khaja Wasiullah, head of cards; Md Shafiqul Hassan, head of strategic alliance; Rawisara Sangsuwan, international marketing officer of the hospital; and Suwadee Nima, senior manager for international marketing, were also present at the signing ceremony.
