Pragati Life Insurance approves 25% dividend for 2025

Pragati Life Insurance PLC has approved a 25 percent dividend, including a 15 percent cash dividend, for the year that ended on December 31, 2025.

The approval was given at the life insurance company’s 26th annual general meeting (AGM), held virtually recently, according to a press release. Mohammed Abdul Awal, chairman of the life insurer, presided over the meeting.

Syed M Altaf Hussain, founder chairman of the insurer; Suhel Ahmed Choudhury, director and chairman of the audit committee; ASM Mohiuddin Monem, Tajwar M Awal, Sayed Quamrul Hossain, Anwar Faruque and Quamrun Naher Ahmed, directors, attended the AGM.

A large number of shareholders from across the country joined the meeting. They approved major agendas and other important issues placed before the meeting. Jagadish Kumar Bhanja, company secretary of the insurer, conducted the meeting.

Md Jalalul Azim, chief executive officer, and Chandra Shekhar Das, chief financial officer, along with a representative of the external auditor, Anil Salam Idris & Co Chartered Accountants, and other officials of the insurer, were also present at the meeting.
