UCB hosts strategic dialogue with Visa

United Commercial Bank PLC hosted a strategic dialogue with Visa at its head office in Dhaka recently focusing on the future of payments, innovation, market expansion and payment excellence, reinforcing the strong strategic alignment between the two organisations.

Stephen Karpin, regional president for Asia-Pacific at Visa; Suresh Sethi, group country manager for India and South Asia; and Sabbir Ahmed, country manager for Bangladesh, attended the programme, according to a press release.

Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, chief executive officer of the bank, Md Abdullah Al Mamoon and Mohammad Shafiqur Rahman, deputy managing directors, along with the bank’s senior management team, were also present.

Visa reaffirmed its commitment to supporting UCB’s growth ambitions and serving as a key catalyst in accelerating innovation, strengthening its payments portfolio and unlocking new opportunities in the evolving digital payments ecosystem, the release added.
