MD Husain passes away

Dr MD Husain breathed his last at his residence in Bangla Motor, Dhaka, on September 28. He was 90, said a press release.

He had been suffering from pneumonia and other age-related ailments.

He is survived by his wife, Rayhana Husain, two sons and a host of relatives.

He was buried at the family graveyard at Paikkandi village in Gopalganj yesterday. Husain authored several books on the Liberation War and medical treatment and was also involved in social work.
