Two kids drown

Two children drowned in separate incidents at Pakuria Bhangapara and Pragpur Kamarpara in Daulatpur upazila yesterday. The deceased were identified as Sumon, 3, son of Ali Hossain of Pakuria Bhangapara village, and Swadhin, 6, son of Abdus Sattar of Pragpur Kamarpara of the upazila. Locals said Sumon suddenly fell into a pond adjacent to their house while he was playing on its bank at about 10:30am. In another incident, Swadhin went to Matha Bhanga River near his house around 2:00pm on Monday for taking bath. At one stage, he drowned in the river.
