Exhibition on Sheikh Rabiul Haque’s 80-year creative journey being celebrated
A week-long art exhibition celebrating the 80-year creative journey of writer, painter, singer and entrepreneur Sheikh Rabiul Haque was inaugurated yesterday at the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Renowned painter Rafiqun Nabi attended the inauguration as the chief guest. Painter Jyotsna Mahbuba, Kamrul Islam, general secretary of the Bangiya Sahitya Sanskriti Sangsad, and other cultural personalities were also present.
The exhibition, being held at Gallery 7 on the third floor of the National Art Gallery, will remain open until September 18.
A cultural programme and discussion on Haque’s multifaceted creative journey will be held on September 15 at the National Art Gallery Auditorium. The event will explore his contributions to art and culture across his long career.
