Mosharraf Karim reigns as Best Actor in Critics category

Acclaimed actor Mosharraf Karim won Best Actor in the Critics category at the Blender’s Choice–The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2025 for his performance in “Bhaggo Bhalo”, an episode of Chorki’s anthology series “Dui Shaw”.

Directed by Nuhash Humayun, “Dui Shaw” is the sequel to the acclaimed “Pett Kata Shaw”. The series comprises four stories—“Waqt”, “Bhaggo Bhalo”, “Antora” and “Besura”—each exploring different forms of fear through psychological and supernatural elements.

In “Bhaggo Bhalo”, Mosharraf plays a viral fortune teller who can read the fortunes of others but finds himself unable to foresee his own fate. The episode marked his first collaboration with Nuhash. Zebunnisa Sobhan (Tuntuni), Adnan Adib Khan and Samia Othoi also feature in the episode.

The win adds another accolade to Mosharraf’s extensive career across television, cinema and OTT. His portrayal of OC Harun in Ashfaque Nipun’s “Mohanagar” and “Mohanagar 2” became one of his most recognised OTT roles, with “Mohanagar 2” previously earning him Best Male Actor in the Popular category at the Blender’s Choice–The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2023.

Beyond OTT, Mosharraf has built a career spanning more than two decades on television and film, with works including the television serial “420” and films such as “Third Person Singular Number” and “Television”.
