Ajay Devgn is set to reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar in the third and final instalment of the Hindi "Drishyam" franchise. The actor has officially announced the title of the upcoming film, "Drishyam The Conclusion", which is scheduled to hit theatres on October 2, 2026.

Following two films filled with twists, hidden secrets and Vijay’s carefully calculated efforts to protect his family, the franchise is now heading towards the final chapter of his story.

On August 24, Ajay Devgn unveiled the first poster of "Drishyam The Conclusion", officially announcing the final chapter of the franchise. The poster carries the line, "Mera Sach, Mera Sahi, Sirf Meri Family Hai" (My truth, my right, only my family), reflecting Vijay Salgaonkar’s unwavering determination to protect his loved ones.

The first-look teaser had already offered a glimpse of what viewers can expect from the final chapter, with Ajay Devgn’s voiceover shedding light on Vijay’s state of mind. Released in December 2025, the teaser features Vijay reflecting on the many labels he has been given over the years, including criminal, murderer, fraud, hero, innocent father and mastermind.

He says that none of these labels matter to him, as the events of the past seven years have taught him that everyone has their own version of truth and their own sense of what is right. For Vijay, that truth and right are centred entirely on his family, which he vows to protect by standing firm like a gatekeeper and a wall.

"Drishyam The Conclusion" is being produced by Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios, with Abhishek Pathak returning as director. Pathak has also co-written the film with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak are serving as producers.

The franchise centres on Vijay Salgaonkar, a seemingly ordinary family man from Goa who uses his intelligence and careful planning to protect his family and evade the law after a murder takes place at their home.

The third instalment will see Ajay Devgn return as Vijay Salgaonkar, alongside Tabu as IG Meera Deshmukh and Shriya Saran as Nandini. Rajat Kapoor will also reprise his role, while Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat have joined the franchise in new roles. Filming has already wrapped, and the film is currently in post-production.

The Malayalam franchise is not ending with its third film. Producer Antony Perumbavoor has confirmed that "Drishyam 4" is already in development. He made the announcement at the Mazhavil Manorama Awards, where Mohanlal also reacted to the news.
